Interesting link for anyone interested in the 1190 adventure bikes

Good link, interesting what a difference cutting the cat out made to the heat issues

Yes I loved that bit, just bought a used front pipe to de-cat and fit when I get back to France it will be in the new year now as I am stuck in the UK until December.

Well this arrived today it's only supposed to have done 170 miles and I believe it. I should have time next week to cut and de-cat and will do some photos cos I know we all love looking at pictures.

Please don't hold your breath Andres I won't see the bike until Dec. and then it will be for a couple of days max, returning in April to fit the pipe.

Found a couple of spare hours this afternoon as the Hp2 is waiting for a clutch master cylinder kit and so I started to De-Cat the spare KTM front-pipe I bought on e-bay.
First start the cut leaving three points of contact to keep it lined up, then scribe three lines across the cut to assist when lining up to weld, finally marking with tipex.
Drilled a hole big enough for a reciprocating saw blade to slot in and cut the cat out then trim with a long chisel/screwdriver simple :D
Will weld it during the week and post a pic of the finished article even though I probably won't be fitting it until April.
