Hi Guys,
I have been asked by Harbour Lights - Ramsey - to get people to say what they would like from the menu - in advance where possible.

I will make sure the booking is fine...at the moment there are


Mr and Mrs Moo
Mr and Mrs Wideload
Mr and Mrs Piebaps
Mr and Mrs Grumpy
JIm and Helen (I think)

Peter and Barbara aren't able to make it....so 10 of us.

Its for the 6th December @ 7.30pm.

CAn you all go to www.harbour-lights.net and look at the December menu (ps - click on the menu at the top - it will take you there - the one on the home page doesn't seem to work) - there is a £19.95 per head menu and a £26.95 per head menu. Dermot and I wish the £26.95 one...and will let them know once I have everyones requests.

I hate booking before the night - but I think they have 2 other parties in that night - so might ease the stress in the kitchen for all concerned.

Menu Choices

Hi Guys, Harbour Lights were very keen for us to pick what we want to eat (already) from the menu we choose as there may be more than 8 of us...and because more than half of us are going for the £26.95 menu - we ALL have to go for it. I hope that is OK wth everyone.

the £26.95 menu is as follows:

Starters:
Wild Mushroom Tartlet
Crispy Duck Salad, Honey and Mustard
Onion and Pear Soup with Parmesan Croutons
Melon with Lime and Coriander, topped with lemon sorbet

Main Course:
Roast Manx Turkey Breast with seasonal trimmings
Roast Sirloin of Beef with Chasseur Sauce
Poached Salmon, Warm Potato and Beetroot Salad with Horseradish Cream
Potato and Onion Bake, Broccoli with Smoked Cheese Sauce

Desserts:
Christmas Pudding with Brandy and Cinnamon Sauce
Black Cherry Yoghurt, Cherry Compote and Kirch Cream
Mandarin Jelly, Orange Salad and Sorbet
Chocolate Tart

Coffee and Homemade Mince Pies​

well...cause there are more than 8 of us - we have to go with "majority rules" for ease of serving I guess. Ain't my rules!!

Choices from the menu as follows:

Starters...

1 Mushroom Tartlet...for the tart (don't tell her or I'm a dead man)
1 Crispy Duck thingie...for me

Main Course...

1 Turkey Dinner...for me
1 Beef whotsit...for the boss

I'll speak to you and Derm before...I'll drive as promised...guess who's going to sit with a camera and take the incriminating photo's...they can be purchased the next day at a 'bargain' price

I will make little cards on the night so that we all remember what we ordered . For those of you who have ordered the beef - they wanted to know how you would like it...but I said you would let them know on the night. I think its just for ease of serving.

Can't wait! Looking forward to seeing everyone! Meet at the restaurant at 7.15-7.30pm - if thats OK with everyone? and if time after (ie not too late for those travelling to the south) you are all most welcome back at ours for a nightcap!
