IOW Scooter Rally - its big

Well its that August bank holiday wk end again when all the scooters descend on the Isle of Wight, they were sayin on a regional radio station that its now become the biggest scooter rally event in the world..

Was well busy as expected, spoke to a nice guy on a police beemer who had come over specially from Basingstoke he said since we dont have any police bikers over here Said he owned his own beemers too so handy for gettin his own serviced

Yup '86. Remember Donnington was '85 and that was bad enough, IOW '86 and like you said it all went tits up and joined the Army in '87

Do have some pics of IOW '86 somewhere.

I have only recently got in to scooters...well my wife's scooter anyway... Quite enjoy poodling around on it...met geezer this morning when buying a rather nice jacket from him...first time I had ridden the Vespa on the M25.... All I can say is it was an interesting experience...

I was at high school 83-86 when they all started comin over each yr, it has grown now somewhat, several thousand from all over the place now come over for it. Scooters are not my cup of tea but its great to see them all & be apart of the atmosphere
