iPad 2 fecked!

My iPad 2 cannot see any WiFi networks at all! Been intermittent for a while but I put that down to my Virgin Supershyte Hub. This has now been turned into modem only mode and a new Apple Airport Extreme router is now doing the business.

However, now the iPad issue is permanent! I've restored to factory settings and tried everything on the web to fix this issue, to no avail.

I even went back to the original Virgin wireless setup which would work if only sparodically, but nothing.

Guess what, the warranty expired on the iPad 2 just 5 days ago

Apple are calling me at 11:00 to discuss

There are known problems with ipad2 wifi. Performance on mine has never been good. Only a 1mb broadband and can't watch a YouTube video without stuttering, yet my Samsung Galaxy2 streams the same videos with no issues as does my iMac.

Well they reckon it's a hardware fault.

Because I am a loyal Apple customer and only a few days out of warranty, they will give me a new one if they cannot fix this one. Also, they are doing it for free

Collected yesterday by UPS and awaiting diagnosis.

Hopefully get a new one as I noticed the screen has a 4 inch long scratch!
