My wife joined me today in Spain but her iPad and iPhone won't log onto the wifi hotspot I'm using. So she has done the hard reset of both. Also logged on and then "forgotten networks" . Turned wifi on & off on the appliance etc etc. Any help ? I can't turn off the wifi router until Monday morning as its in a locked room .
Strange that both her Apple machines won't log on :nenau. They have both been here and used the wifi with no problem.

It may well not be the same but I've been having that issue a lot recently with a BT router which seems to have a maximum number of devices which can log onto the network at any one time. Could it be that?

Thanks Schtum, I suspect this is correct. I will do a reset on the router tomorrow morning when the office opens here. I had done this before when my iPad wouldn't connect.

Can they "see" the wifi? JJH

Yes she can see the wifi signal and sometimes is asked for password :nenau but even then she can't log on.

For BT Hub users its definitely worth changing your Admin Password to one of your own. Ive also renamed both my 2.4 & 5GHZ connections so that I can choose which settings my devices connect to. iPads & iPhones connect to the 2.4GHZ connection, whilst PS4 and macbook connect to the 5GHZ.

Worth noting about the 5GHZ connection, whilst its faster than the 2.4GHZ it doesn't reach as far, so devices at the other end of the house to the Hub might not see it. The 2.4GHZ is a stronger signal, but a slower speed.

When going into the BT Hub Manager http://bthomehub.home/ you can see all devices that are connected, and you can also rename them to something you can easily recognise as I have done below..

Slightly off topic but the PS4 does not support the 5Ghz wifi spectrum, so I'm not sure how you've managed to get yours to connect to your 5Ghz wifi. Unless you're using some sort of a wifi bridge or something like that of course :)

How fucking dare you use facts and accurate knowledge to defeat me!
