I use my iphone for sat nav ( co pilot ) and listening to music, but would like to make/receive calls on the move.
Any recommendations on headphones/mic setup?
thanks.

Depends what you mean by make calls on the move, anything above urban speeds a non-specific microphone is going to struggle.

If you want voice comms at all road speeds you'll need a motorcycle specific product from the likes of Scala or Interphone or one of the others.

Here's a little comparison I have done very recently to give you an idea on this.

Thanks Judge,
comprehensive review, not sure I understand it all as I have little experience of using mic setups etc.
I appreciate the need for noise cancelling at higher speeds, but wonder if one of the cheap and cheerful earphone/mic setups for the iphone in everyday use, would be ok for the bike at urban speeds?
I dont need voice dial etc, because mainly I would be receiving calls.
With power for the iphone from the bike, and a seemingly waterproof cover, I would like to use the iphone solely for all my music/sat nav/ phone needs.
am I missing something?

Hi Macca

I use my Iphone for tunes and Tomtom app. I use Scala Rider Q2 with the headphone mod (removes the speakers and replaces them with earbuds of your choice).

Hope this helps

Cheers

Pete

I use my iPhone for music (not Sat Nav) and riute it through a Starcom - how do you answer calls on the move? Is there a remote control available?

autocom

with bluetooth module. Allows hands-free answering of calls and audio from iphone (music/satnav app etc.) Don't go for starcom, despite them beng the same company now their bluetooth module does not 'auto-answer' making answering calls V difficult on the move.
