wife bought me a iPod 30gb for xmas :clap :clap :clap
i thought the easiest way would be to plug it in to my daughters pc and steal a copy of her music!!
any ideas how to load it into my i tunes library as i have tried everything. can it be done :o
thanks

go to file then add folder to you library when you connect the i pod it will upload all the songs

open i tunes ........................ click file top left of proggy ............... click on add folder ................. choose the folder you want to add containing the album .................. click ok ............... connect ipod re the usb cable and the songs will transfer automaticly done !!!

Depends on how legit the stuff is.

Download Senuti (it's free) and use that - sorted.

sounds like you've loaded your ipod with your daughters music and now want to upload it to itunes on your PC?

can't be done with itunes AFAIK. i think media monkey will do it but it may depend on what format the tunes are in. i think media monkey may not handle apple's AAC format  :nenau

will Senuti run on widows xp ok? because that looks like the cure to the problem? as at present i have 1500 songs sat on my iPod but no way of loading them onto my itunes library? and my itunes library just wants to overwrite all the time with the 5 songs i have in my library:rolleyes:

Dunno for sure as I'm running it on a Mac, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't - I seem to recall Whatton runs it on a Doze set-up actually.

If you use Senuti, you just point it at iTunes library as the destination for copying the stuff off the pod - done.:thumb

should have bought an Archos:D

http://www.copypod.net/ works fine for what you want to do on XP.

There's another way if your pc's are networked and set for file sharing.

Open iTunes on your PC.
From file menu select 'add folder to library'
Browse to daughter's music folder (her computer, My Documents, My Music usually)
Select OK
On connecting your iPod to your pc let iTunes overwrite your iPod with your new iTunes library.

If any of that sounds out of your depth then copypod will do it the easy way for you.
