I notice that there are quite a few Garmin iQue 3600s out there, but does anyone have experience of the iQue M5? Iunderstand that the 3600 runs the Palm OS and the M5 runs Windows, any comments? There are faster and cheaper PDAs but the Garmin is reckoned to be "tougher". Anyone running a PDA with Garmin software on it?

I haver a 3600 as does a mate who also bought an M5, and all I can say is that if you're considering the M5 as a cheap alternative the the 3600 don't, the main reason being that the screen is only half the size, and cannot be expanded during guidance.

Get the 3600.

Interesting! The whole point of a PDA/GPS system (for me) is that the screen is larger than a Quest and the price is similar, but they run on the same GPS software.
I understood the M5 was the next development of the 3600?

If you want a bigger screen then you have to get the 3600, as I understand it, the M5 is a cheaper alternative to the 3600.
Looking at them side by side only goes to confirm this.
The M5 would give you a smaller gps guidance screen than the quest.

There seems to be a bit of confusion here... The iQue 3200 is the cheaper alternative to the 3600 and has a smaller screen. The M5 has the same sized screen as the 3600.

I have the 3600 with the weatherproof TT mount and love it!
