Ireland v France

....dealing with the symptom and not the cause.

it is impossible to eradicate all forms of cheating from any competitive event/sport as there will always be people willing to seek advantage. Video technology will not solve anything as it is again a matter of opinion....

there is definitely a need for harsher penalties for cheating in all forms. Henry should not play in the world cup in SA, that would make every player think about whether it is worth cheating or not. Also referees should not be talked back too. Players should approach their team captains and they should be allowed approach the ref in a reasonable manner not screaming abuse, but hey its entertainment nowadays and part and parcel of the whole package...look at the mileage spnosors are getting out of all the coverage of Henry:blast

anyways i'm off back to real sports where men have something between their legs that moves the emotions in so many ways:ymca

when does the Dakar start:cool:

The rules of the game (good or bad) were in place at the time of the start whistle - Ireland chose to participate in full knowledge of those rules (that the ref's decision is final).

End of.

Well said Lord Snooty!
Dont forget Ireland are playing Fiji in the rugby tomorrow, should be a great game.:aidan

I don't want a reply to be honest. We should have won it in normal time and we didn't.

I would like to see something good come of the game though such as video technology etc.

Maybe it could have be avoided if more of the 10 group games had been won instead of P 10, W 4, D 6.....

Not losing games doesn't always mean winning.

Thats not the point....France could have done the same to avoid the playoffs. Fact is they got through by cheating!!! Its wrong and should not be tolerated. Im disgusted that the FAI backed down so easily.
