Anyone used iridum spark plugs on an airhead?

I have searched bút haven't found a definitive answer as to whether there are any significant benefits apart from the depletion of this week's pocket money.

Tried once

No measurable difference whatsoever, maybe longer life.

Best plugs [if you can find them] are the Splitfire TP6 Triple platinum pointed plugs
All my airheads have them and they are 100,000 mile life so will outlast me :rob
I'm looking for a new supply as my old seller has retired :rob

You should point out for people who presume that three electrodes mean three sparks when the plug fires, that they don't work like that.

The spark always uses the shortest route. Which means that having three electrodes it takes longer for them to wear as the spark isn't constantly eroding one but always jumping to the nearest as one wears down. Hence the stated 100,000 mile life.

Sorry if i'm stating the obvious.

I've had good results from Champion Eon 2 plugs in my air and oil heads. Better starting and smoother tickover.

One man's obvious is another man's rocket science. Thanks for that :thumb2
