More info please emjay, plug what from the iPod into an accessory socket?

Judge,

Belkin do a range of accessories for the iPod including an car plug power lead. Its for sale on the Applestore site but presumably can be got for cheaper elsewhere (£35 from the applestore but 25 dollar direct from Belkin US)

Yes Tickle, I went skiing and never got time to look round Andorra La Vella anyway.

I'm only looking for a "scource" to connect to an autocom really. I'm beginning to think that I'd be better off with a personal CD player for the time being!!!!!

I do have a colleague that travels over from the US from time to time, maybe I should check out the US prices?

I was aware of the battery issue. Maybe that wouldn't be an issue if I ran it off the bike power anyway?

I bought my 40Gb Ipod of Ebay, sourced from the USA, for £310 inc of VAT delivered to the UK , brand new, never been out of the box.Belkin also do a Back-up battery pack which piggy backs on the Ipod which I bought of Ebay (new) and holds 4 AA batteries , as I don't want anymore wires. I use an Autocom , and used to have a CD player, but frankly it hasn't been used at all since the Ipod came.I get about 9 hours out of my Ipod battery before needing to use the Back-up.....also on re-charge batteries.........so I can't loose:P :P :P

Made by Dr Bott it's a car cigar lighter to firewire socket lead (I've fitted a std car power socket to my bike to as well as the BMW one). Got mine from local Apple dealers Gordon Harwood in Alfreton they also do mail order at www.ghc.co.uk. Do a search on their site for "Dr Bott ipod" the lead is £23.50 they also do a connection kit that includes the lead and a cassette adapter that lets you play your ipod through your car radio/cassette player plus other assorted leads for £41.13.

Good listening.

I had a look on another site and people are singing the praises of the iRiver.....any info?

For ipod charger also have a look at xtrememac.com US$ 27 incl. shipping. but the real must have is the itrip - play your ipod through any fm radio - absolutely amazing!
