Riding your silver 1200GS in your black and grey camo trousers around Horbury and Ossett some mornings, about 8am and some afternoons?

Please don't be so far up your own arse that you can't acknowledge a nod from another biker, in this case, a little old lady on a blue and white Serow

We might not all ride 1200GS's, but some of us do still ride for real, even little old ladies like me! I've ridden through Siberia, Mongolia and the Gobi Desert and back home on my F650GS; also the full length of Vietnam on a 125cc  Where have you ridden that big 1200 of yours?

It doesn't matter what we ride, so long as we ride, don't be so elitist :mcgun

Well said!
There are too many HUA (head-up-arse) BMW riders out there!

Is it You

Ooh er..... doesn't that sound priggish. I could almost be embarrassed

What was written in the heat of the moment this afternoon makes me sound like a pompous stuffed shirt biker myself.

As an instructor, I spend all my working hours trying to encourage new comers, to introduce them to the world of biking. It is a fantastic feeling for them when other bikers nod and acknowledge them, even the kids on scooters, who I might add, drive me insane, blossom when a 'real biker' nods at them.
There exists in motorcycling an element of snobbery which I am sure most GSers abhor. It doesn't matter what people ride in real terms, just give 'em a friendly nod eh?:thumb

not me but

WGAF if they don't wave back

It's them that have the problem, don't let it get to you,do your own thing, and after all.....would you really want to be bothered to know that rider ?

Biking aint what it used to be :nenau

stay safe

An honest post, good on you for that, why should you give a toss if another person on a bike waves back.

Sense will prevail :thumb2

Are you two about to start WWIII with mentioning errr mmm 1200's

I even nodded to a Hardly Davidson today

Well said Gracie.... don't stand on the fence gal :rose

Micky

It's strange how it goes :nenau

Some days there are all sorts of riders practically falling off their bikes to nod, wave, gesture you

And then on other days (like today) you feel like you're riding an invisible bike as no matter how much you nod, the other blinkered rider just sails past you

I am not master of the universe and I don't know the answer to this :nenau

You're a miserable bastard if you don't nod back IMHO.

The major culprits for not nodding are: H-D, BMW + Goldwings.

me, start a war, never :D I'm sure Gracie wouldn't either. :augie

tho some of em think they are superior to everyone else :rob I doubt that'd apply to anyone on here tho ;)

Went out for a bimble today, noticing a trend with the sports bikes riders. Black visor = deffo no nod, almost like i'm invisible. Clear visor = occasional nod.

Not that i was bored or anything, just an observation. Similar to the fact that there's some cracking roads in lincolnshire that no other bikers seem to know about. :nenau

from now on I am gonna ignore all blue and white Serow riders just for the hell of it :D:augie

only joking, Must admit though i get miles more nods now ive got a KTM instead of the BMW

I nod at everyone and I dont even look to see i get a reply most times to be honest

er..... Farmboy, What are you doing playing on your computer on a Sunday morning?
Could it be that the KTM is not reliable enough to be out playing? Could you do with a blue and white Serow? or a BMW?
Ah well, it could be that you are just a male and need a lie in on a Sunday? :kissy2
