I have been feeling that my rear shock has gone "off" lately on my 42k 05 1200,Going round some corners and its seem a bit bouncy,,like the damping is not working as it should ,its not like that all the time though.

Also I can feel a more direct feel of the transmission through the seat, feels a more rough than before and my back seems to be taking a hammering more than useual:eek:.

There is no oil leaking etc but I am aware that they can go without losing oil,

Also I have changed from Trail wings after 37k miles to Conti road Attacks for the first time and the rear is getting near the limit now so maybe it could be this but I'm not sure:nenau.

I reckon the shocks gone myself but not 100% sure,If it is anyone got a spare they want to move on?

They don't last forever.

Mine, a 1200GSA was shot at about 36,000 for sure.

Went for Ohlins replacement, front and rear. Best chunk of money I have spent.

As Wapping said, they don't last forever.

I have Hyperpro on mine and they are superb.:thumb

You will probably find your front is fine so just change the rear unit which should transform the bike:D

Does the screw at the bottom still turn and engage as it does? It's a classic tail of it breaking I'm afraid.

Dunno, never had the need to try it,only ever put a touch more preload on it to stop the rear tyre squirming around when its worn.
