Is there a prefered workshop manual for the 1200?

Hi,

I done a quick search, but can't seem to find much on the subject of manuals.

I'm taking ownership of a 2008 GS on Thursday, and I'll be starting to add all my normal bits & pieces (intercom, GPS, voltmeter, Givi rack etc.).

I always try to get a workshop manual for my bikes to help with torque settings, wiring diagrams etc. Is there a gereraly prefered manual for the 1200? what are the options (official BMW, Haynes, Clymer) any available on CD/DVD?

Haynes 4598 is the one i have.
Seems fine to me and cheaper than BMW / Clymer.

Aye Ash they are cheaper . And all the poorer for content too .

I would go for Clymer everytime..

CD Rom for me... bit more expensive but will allow you to carry out a full lobotomy in a lay -by, if you have the tools & inclination
