'morning friends, is this a good place to fix the PDM60 on a 1200GS LC? Appreciate your inputs, Pros/Cons.

Rationale: if there is a fault on any of the circuits, you can see that immediately, without removing the seat to see the circuit at fault. Thank you :thumb :beerjug:

Would be under the seat for me,.... Could not look at that all the time...

No, put it under the seat. That is an eyesore that does not blend with the design at all.

That looks terrible.:rob Unless it goes wrong regularly (in which case, send it back), keep it hidden out of sight.:thumb

So where did it go finally?

Thank you all for your feedback. :thumby:

Did not happen at the original planned location. The +ve (RED) was too short to reach from the box to the battery terminal (and did not have the required gauge of wire to extend) ... so finally went under the seat. Still need to work on securing it better (some sticky velcro on order), and also have to tidy the wires up. The seat was on low-low. Had to move it to high-high to make space for the PDM60. Well, all is well that ends well. :) Now off to connect farkles to it!

Much better.

What did you tap into for the gray trigger wire....I can almost see it.:blast

nesbocaj, this is the red wire with the brown strip at the bottom left of the fuse connector. Works flawlessly.

Under the seat, if you do a proper job of installing accessories you shouldn't get any faults.

Edit: I'd suggest wrapping that wiring in self amalgamating tape to avoid any chaffing problems.
