I've come across an Ebay seller who had 15 GS's for sale, some damaged. Most of them look good though but they seem too cheap. Although I'm no expert on prices but 2010 1200 GS £3500 looks a great deal to me? If looks too good to be true it normally is but Seller has 100% feedback , what do you think?

Ask him questions, how long he have bike, how damage happened. And so on, can see bike, all documents present? Dos it runs?

No link but just done a quick search is the seller markybones? If so I'd say 100% scam he's got 2500 cars bikes campers tractors plant machinery all desirable stuff at the right price. Email address included in the ads I saw he'll no doubt be taking multiple deposits/payments for something that doesnt exist as we 'speak'

The real markybones has been pished, hits details lifted, and his account is being trashed by listingbots/ scammers

sadly all you can do is report it to fleabay :(

Yes I thought as much, a genuine seller with their account hacked, oh well back to saving up :thumb

Good grief! Just had a look at the stuff listed, as you say there's 2600 items listed. All manner of things, Harleys, GT750, boats. Unfortunately some of the stuff has bids on

The giveaway is a lack of a description (they are too lazy) and a stupid buy it now price.
I report them but it takes a day or two to be removed.

Interesting - I’m after a twin cam RT and he has one listed, but no description and only one photos and an email address in the photos - he hasn’t replied to an enquiry I sent so I thought it seemed odd

You do realise the account has been hacked? Happens all the time - easy to spot, as others have said. The dead giveaway is the photo with contact detail on.

Clearly I didn't know.

How would a seller posting a picture of their contact details indicate this to me?

There has been a big surge of this on eBay recently as ThreeDawg said a massive giveaway is the photo with contact details - scam written all over it!

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to come across as a smartarse, but there are several clues; the pic of the email contact details (you're not allowed to post these in an auction), lack of detail in the description, only one or two pics of the vehicle, a message telling you to email with the item number and sometimes duplicate listings of the same machine. Easy to spot, especially with more specialist vehicles - clock a Laverda Jota with a price of 3600 quid and you know it's fishy. Easy way to check if you're not sure is to click on 'see seller's other items'. It will be super random!

deffo a scam walk away another one on ebay alot that uses other peoples adverts like the classic vw beetles he always has location as U.K or UNITED KINGDOM , use your instincts
