i have just been offered a 04 1200gs, 15000 miles 1 owner, fantastic condition, ocean blue. givi top box. power socket. abs. heated grips. cylinder protectors. front fender extender for £5500 is this about right

I hope I have got something of a bargain then, and absolute mint, 2005/05 ABS, spokes, full panniers and liners, new battery, with 2,300 miles!! for a little more than £5k. Private sale so no warrenty to speak of but it seems smooth enough and I know the vendor:D
Hope to get some serious insight on this here forum, been used to slightly 'racier' bikes before

500 either way can easily account for condition. If its a spanker its definately worth the littel extra. I'd make an offer of 5k and see where it gets you. no harm trying.

Sounds about right to me. I bought my 54 plate (Dec 04) 1200GS in December with 13k, ABS, spokes, heated grips, handguards, fender extender and cylinder guards for £5295.

Mine's in great condition for its year and I was well pleased with what I paid.

Remember, even bikes of this age are selling for close to £7k in BMW dealer forecourts at the moment so anything under £6k is good value for money I say, especially with a low mileage.

If the bike's in great condition, I'd be prepared to pay that bit more as it shows it's been looked after.
