Hi Guys,
We're meeting next week in Ramsey - but for some of you - Carl, Dave (not you piebaps), Peter and Barbara and a few others (I've got Carol and Geoff's, Chris's and Piebaps ) I don't have an email address to send you stuff regarding meeting for Christmas.
You can email me at moo@manx.net or text/call me on 225577. Just give me a shout and if you can't make it on the 28th Oct - we can sort out some dates and I can let you know. I thought I would see what you all thought and arrange a meal somewhere. Any suggestions for good places? Harbour Lights in Ramsey or Creg ny Baa perhaps? What dya reckon?
Seems like a nice thing to do to finish off this rather lovely year.

The King and I booked.

Well, after our chat today - we got home and I rang The King and I in Douglas - and have spoken to them again tonight. I have booked a table for 12-15 people - 8.30pm - on the 8th December. That seemed the best day for us all.

They asked for a later booking as they have 2 parties coming in at 7.30pm that night and they needed to stagger the numbers - I hope thats OK.

My mate Cath has been a couple times and says it is very good..so I hope we won't be disappointed ...but it will be lovely anyway.

Please can I have an "ay" either on here; by pm or by email: moo@manx.net and I will then confirm with them nearer the day. They are emailing me a menu at some point - so I will post that here (I think...if its not too complicated )

Well, of the 8 of us who were booked - 6 of us made it! We had a really good evening...AFTER....

Chris went to the wrong Harbour Lights......his mrs was poorly so couldn;t come.....and because of the hour he waited ...and the fact that KM was closed due to TWO car accidents....he didn't get to Ramsey.

then...Piebaps and his Mrs (Grainne) and Geofff and Carole all waited patiently for us.....

we (in our car..bought 21/2 weeks before) were broken down in Ballaugh....had to wait for recovery vehicle and so Geoff came and got me and Derm waited for the van.....then joined us later...

so....they all waited for us.. and eventually at around 9.30...we all began our meal!

It was a LOVELY evening and we had a great time! Pictures were taken...but I NEVER remember how to load the bloody things at the right resolution etc etc...so you'll just have to imagine 6 drunk and merry bikers...

oops. I didn't mean that I was suffereing from "exhaust" problems. I meant that I was a big lover of hot food and grow my own chillies. I also have my own brand of chilli products - the infamous "Dr Dave" label.

When the summer chilli crop is harvested, virtually all of them end up in a Dr Dave chilli relish

Green Meanie - with garlic, onion and green pepercorns
Red Devil - with garlic and onion
Yellow Peril - with garlic, onion, gherkin and lemon juice
Totally Stupid - an insanely hot Habanero relish made with onions, chillies and anything else hot I can find to chuck in.
