What an enjoyable day out on the bike. Went for a bimble with the local club out onto the roads around the west coast near Gairloch.
Even though the weather was doing it’s best to make the day miserable, the ride was still great.
Here are a few pictures of the crew riding along the shore of Loch Maree, making their way towards our destination
This is the gathering at the Badachro Inn
I did my usual and legged it before the others had even got their collective coats on. Here are a few photo’s from my ride around the loop that takes in Gairloch & Poolewe . .
Loch Ewe
FlabbyDildo @ Little Loch Broom (just for Johny ;-) )
A couple of pictures of a waterfall on the Dundonnell river . .
Finally, the view towards Loch Broom, just before the Braemore junction . . .
Wet for the most part, the roads ridden took in fantastic scenery, with some views that equal the best in mainland Europe, in my opinion.
Had the choice this morning of taking either the Africa Twin or the Varadero out for the ride. No contest - the Vara it was and as normal, the Vara did what it does best and just got on with the job of allowing me to cover many miles in comfort, secure in the knowledge that it wouldn't let me down. Kept me smiling in the rain all day.
212 miles before the reserve light came on, with 250 miles on the trip by the time I got home without needing to refuel since the start.
What a great bike
Good thing about todays weather – there were no dead flies to clean off of the visor
