Amazing advances in the last couple of decades mean bike clothing is now available with amazingly good waterproofing you know?:nenau

Doesn't mean I have to get it dirty though does it!:blast Cold and wet? wassat? :nenau Where does it say that in my haynes manual then? No no no.

No, you are right you do not have to ride across anything to own a GS. Not going out in the rain is a bit stiff though. As for cold and wet. There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment.

Some people just don't like it.
Just cos you and I think they are missing a trick doesn't make them any lesser for it tho...

No such thing as bad weather? :blast Snow , ice, heavy constant rain? How is any amount of good equipment gonna make up for that kind of weather we have had lately? Sticking my thermals on ain't gonna help me playing snowplough izzit? Going straight on into the first hedge isn't my idea of a nice ride out! Why can't I look forward to a nice dry warmish day to get my highly polished pride and joy out? :nenau I am a fair weathered biker and what's wrong with that?

out

Just stay in the warm and polish your bike ,if that makes you happy thats fine. or take your bmw out and watch the paint fall off .some like it dry and some like it wet , but not many like it cold and snowy. But it nice to think people care !!!!:augie:augie:augie:augie:augie

fair weather biker in the uk LOL bet you dont go out much :blast

I got caught out in the snow the other day but its not that bad.

I ride everyday thats the only way i can afford to fund my GS habbit. This way the wife has the car and we reduce the expenditure on runing two cars.

People ride for varouis reasons etc and i tested 4 differnet bikes before deciding the GS was probably the best for me.

I love people like you :thumb:thumb it means in a year or two there will be plently of low millage GS s in the second hand market (when you by a sports bike LOL)

Just my 2pence

Quite. With your claim:
I got caught out in the snow the other day but its not that bad.
the implication was that riding in snow is not that bad.
It is if it's proper snow, not just a light flurry.

Where in East Anglia is there 12 inches of snow ?
Where in my post did I say, or even imply there was?
I realise you are soft southerner, but I'm sure you've seen more than a couple of inches of snow in East Anglia.
As it happens, wasn't it hit quite hard with snow just a few weeks back or were people just making it up?

I am in the east anglan section arnt i ?
Yes. What of it?
I do live in east anglia dont i ,:augie
If you don't know read your location.

Well, I can ride in the the cold and rain.

I do ride in in the cold and rain.

I just don't really like it so going out at weekends for get-togethers is unlikely for now.

So I'm fed up with the weather too.

As for ice and snow - even Madame gives it a rest.
