Its arrived.

What, wheels that take super duper sticky wicky tear up tarmacie type tyres, that smoke when you scream out of tight turns on full throttle with just a hint of opposit lock and with both feet on the pegs ?

Could be......, don't tell me your interested cause if you are I'm going to scream and throw a hissy fit. :blast

I might have bought them but then again maybe not :nenau

Not really got a use for wheels or a larger tank as I am only going to using it for off road. I save the GS for the supermoto style of riding :D

Just as a small update I fitted some Renthal Dakar high bars, absolutly perfect for me. They are about 1 1/2 inches higher. I had to reroute the throttle cables but everything fits just fine. I also took off the gear and rear brake levers and ground the sharp steps off. The step on the inside of the gear lever is almost criminal, looks like it was designed to cut a hole in the cover ! Also took of the stupid starter inhibitor switch from the clutch lever, dead simple if you havn't done it, just pull the wires out of the loom then rejoin the male and femail conectors.

Just need to find time to enjoy it now.

Don't forget to change the gearbox output spacer which goes through the oil seal for a stainless one, the standard steel ones rust and rip the seal dumping all your oil:thumb

I think that's why I never pushed them in our discussions. Should have mentioned them at the East Mids but I have a valid excuse on that score. :augie:D:beer:

3,300 miles and 5yr old and mine was fine. :nenau

Changed anyway, because I like stainless. :thumb

A couple of local run outs has proved that the silencer was indeed slightly noisy :augie A strip down of the end cap revealed that it wasn't so much a silencer as a noise tube. So a simple quest to find a way of quieting it down a bit was started. Tracked down the west county FMF supplier and ordered a quiet core insert. Buggered if I could make out how to fit it.

Anyways it turned out it was the wrong part. They put me in touch with their people and after a couple of phone calls and a few photos e-mailed this arrived in the post. Just the job and complete with a new end cap. :thumb

Have yet to try it on the road but next doors windows have remained intact so far. :D

Very nice people at www.rushracing.co.uk

Good mate, up to about 1/3 throttle nice and quiet. over and it starts to get a bit louder. Give it max and it barks out proper. :D Did about 60 miles through the local forest this afternoon and just great, quiet bimble when wanted or full noise for roosters. Took the "Through Town Route" on the way back, its market day so lots of people. Anyways no problem, people kept chatting, talking on their mobiles etc nobody taking any notice of me at all.

They said it might be down a bit on power :nenau I can't tell any differance.
