Just picked up my new GSA a couple of hours ago. It rained most of the 100km home but I don't care

First time I've ridden any Beemer. My first impressions are :-

1 - It's big, but I'm 6ft7in so loving it. The GSA seems like it was made for us biggies.

2 - It's pretty nimble. Feels a little top heavy but nothing serious and seems to lose all its weight as soon as it's moving.

3 - Plenty of weather protection. All I had was some water running down my arms into the cuff of my glove. That screen does a damn good job and I left my visor open 1-click all the way home.

4 - The indicator system is a bit odd, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

5 - Lot's of torque and let's be honest folks, torque IS soooo addictive.

Looking forward to getting familiar with it over the next few weeks :thumb

Welcome to the many steps of 1200Gs ownership:

step 1 - get bike, ride bike think wow!
step 2 - log on here and read threads
step 3 - panic and think your new bike won't get as far as the corner shop without breaking.
step 4 - ride it again and realise your bike actually works quite well.

My advice is repeat step 4 very often, and if you do it more often than you do step 2 you will be a happy owner! :beerjug::beer::beerjug:

Nice one. I'm sure you can think of a few decent roads in Switzerland to ride it as well :D

wellcome Magnum, I have a GS and although a tad lighter they are still pretty big and impressive on the road, I find people moving aside when I'm behind then on the hiway. And yes the tooorque is addictive.

I'm on my second beemer and honestly I have never got use to the indicators... but thats ok, its different like the rest of the beast.

enjoy it.

Congrats, You will enjoy:beerjug:(The indicator system is a bit odd, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.)
I actually like it and got used to it very quickly.:clap
