Can anyone advise on what these bits do, and where they should be connected and which bits do I need if not using a diode board or regulator ( got an electronic one)

Just putting the wiring together and the red wire from the little cylindrical thing comes out in the starter box but doesn't appear to want to connect to anything??

As usual any help is always appreciated

it should connect on the side of the Diode board and connects to the battery terminal on the starter

Thanks, that's the one on the right yes??? It's the one on the left that's causing most concern ( looks orange in the picture)

I'm a tad useless at electrics but that orange wire is coming from the points condensor...so if you are converting to electronic ignition etc..then they will serve no purpose .
