Hi
Just had a serious test of my gear and guess what, wet through.
Ok, it was pretty damm major downpour for a good hour but didnt expect back, sack n crack to be drenched.
Now thinking of new gear. All in one, two piece, spada, anything!
What are you using and recommend? Is it good for winter/summer or have you clothing for each?
I'm not loaded but will spend if its good, and of course subject to her ladyship releasing funds!
Drying out now........:comfort

Rukka. You only need the one set, guaranteed for 5 yrs. Buy it from Smartriders in Christchurch, brilliant service. Daytona Boots as well, expensive but you won't regret it.

Unless you're proper Tosser sized, have a look in the FS&W section at the Aerostich that Neil has up for sale :thumb2

And Degsey.......read between the lines man!!
He wants new kit and now he has a valid enough reason :thumb

(otherwise, yes, it's easy to re-proof it:eek:)

Point taken fanum however key points

1. Thinking

2. And the major one for me, the realising of the funds by the Mrs

My list in no particular order

Streetgaurd
Aerostich

If it is goretex It's very rare that it leaks per se. Often it is water being wicked in via buffs or your shirt collar or sleeves. The trouser department is usually caused by water pooling in your lap and then it works it's way into your crotch. Or your jacket riding up with wear.
Not saying yours isn't leaking but I would check to see if it is how you are wearing it. After all it doesn't cost anything.
Could I get any more 'are you being served?' phrases in:thumb2

Rukka. Just bought my second suit, first one lasted 7yrs daily use albeit repaired/replaced under warranty. Cheap if you look at cost per year.

Just moved from Daytona boots to TCX, which are just as good.

what is the suit you are wearing at the moment? is it old or more of a "budget" make?

HI

Well Rukka seems to be getting a good write up.
I have at the moment a Joe Rocket set. Aint too bad but its just getting a bit old and well used. Its good gear, nice and light and surprisingly warm in the winter.
Gonna have a look at all recommended with a view to buying before winter kicks in leaving enough time for Mrs Scuzz to get used to parting with the cash!
Cheers all for your comments
