Although i was bloody impressed riding the new Dakar on the BMW Off Road Skills course last weekend.
The bike did everything i wanted it too and the course itself was amazing.
Having said that, Pavey and his gang took their Adventures everywhere i went and more and at twice the speed and with such skill.
Still fancy the Dakar tho instead of my 03 1150.

And RiDE magazine has a first look at the F650 GS and also pits the new R1200 GS against the R1150 GS.

Gosh! A balanced, 5-page report that summises what "we" all know, that the 650GS is actually quite a good, well-rounded piece of kit!
So it wont come FIRST in a pure road race, or a pure motocross event but like a proper GS, it'll have a damn good go at both - and then afterwards you can stick your panniers on and go touring or commute to work
And even then you find it's actually quite comfortable and it stops well - Blimey!!
