It's the little things that make all the difference

Guys and Gals,

I have just changed the front sprocket for a 17 tooth one and I must say it has made a small but significant difference.

I read all the chain gang reviews, which were quite mixed, and thought for £20 I'll give it a go. (Renthal Sprocket and new locking tab from local BMW shop)

Now, the bike spends all it's time on road at the moment and a great deal of that on National limit dual carrigeways. The bigger sprocket has dropped the revs by about 500rpm in top, which is nice.

The other thing I've found is that each gear now lasts that little bit longer, er....obviously, but in that it has made it a real sensible road modification. I only weigh 11 st so performance hasn't suffered at all really.

Suffice to say that the sprocket mod along with a Wunferlich screen has made the little GS a match for my 1300 Pan to tour on. Which'll make life easier for the good wife when she chasing me down the Autobahn.

Now thats got to be saying something. :thumb
