Got the zumo, got a new 2gb sd card, got loads of tracks on itunes.
Now how do I load into the zumo - I gather its not as simple as copying and dragging the tracks onto the sd card :blast

I've dragged the tracks onto the card but they come up as mpeg4 audio files. What do I do now?

I should think you need to burn them to a CD within iTunes... then re-rip them to mp3 (again, you can do this within iTunes...)

Then copy these mp3 files to the Zumo.

Al...

i think i'd copy them from the iTunes folder, then use a third party prog to re-encode to mp3.

dunno if this will work if you purchased the tracks from iTunes as they will be DRM'd (digital rights management) to death.

I had a similar problem - not iTunes, but had ripped music from CDs as wma files. I downloaded a programme called Advanced WMA Workshop and used this to convert to mp3 files.

It might work with itunes files, perhaps. I found it through a Google search. A similar search throws out THIS.

There's a setting in Itunes to store everything in MP3 format.

Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Importing -> Import Using (set field to MP3 Encoder)

Itunes can also convert any existing track for you, although you will have to remove the old files yourself.

Advanced -> Convert Selected to MP3

Then you can just drag and drop between the Itunes folders and the SD card using explorer.

Hope this helps...

Thank you for that SPL,
have been trawling thro this forum and the zumo forum for the last week trying to find that answer. I even downloaded Media Monkey as suggested on zumo forum but I find itunes much easier.
