Paid a vist to Les on sunday to have my dipped beam HID'd and his micro de fogs fitted (to be HID'd later when wallet allows)

All I can say is .....................WOW.....just brilliant and all I have had done is the dipped beam, going home on the motorway last night was amazing, the amount of light thats generated is superb with absolutely no dazzle to oncoming traffic.

Cant wait now to get my fogs done.

Anyone thinking of having it done......................do it........it completely transforms your night riding.

Thanks Les

Teetering on the brink myself....If you had to choose to run with a pair of RING fog lights on all the time in Dip and a standard bulb setup, or a 50W Wassall in your Dip shell with fogs or driving lights for high beam....Which would you choose? and why?....Answers on a postcard to....

Wassalised Dippped Beam every time

why.................?

get on a bike at night that has HID lights and thats the only convincing you will need.

If your thinking about Hid De's over standard DE's purely for light output, don't bother. I have Hid dip, main and DE's and in my opinion the light output of the DE's is hardly noticeable beside a correctly set-up dip beam. They are however a real attention grabber and make you more visible which is why I fitted them.
They also provide enough light to ride on should your dip beam fail (normal de's will too) so also provide a good back up. They are also great in thick fog at night on their own as I found out last month:rolleyes:
If you've got limited funds upgrade your dip to 50W Hid and make sure it's adjusted correctly. The beam on my 1150 was initially way too low and on flat roads gave about 20ft of illumination decreasing to feck all under hard brakeing:(

The 50W HiD in the dip beam is all you need. Anything else is for decoration!!! :)

Or a pair of FF50 Fog lights HiD'd is cheaper than the DE's HiD'd and the Dip in HiD would be

I fitted Les's 50W HID to my K1200LT. Absolutely feckin fantastic. Geddit done. DE's are great in fog etc, but for general lighting up the road, HID is an

Enlightening experience.:augie

Coat already got

A very good point if you are on a budget, but I really think that the light out put of the DE when HiD'd is  the DE as standard gives a orange shadow round the HiD dip pattern, (still very good though) but when the DE's are HiD'd you get that solid rectangle beam of them which increase's the light area two fold. IMHO

:D

Have you seen the DE's in 50watt :D

I have 6000w all around inc fog lights and I am tell you is the best money I ever spend:thumb
So far I never need it to use full beam the fog lights and main beam is far to much and the drivers can see me from very far a way
I never felt so safe and I enjoy riding any time of day or night
Less is the good of light:rob

Had to be said

Trev..........

There are more than enough pictures of wassalised bikes already on here without us posting more. Wassalisation has long passed the point of needing pics, do a search........u will find nothing but good said about Les's work and HID's.

Well I have to agree having had the HID treatment on main and dip done on my 1200GS by Les on Monday and then spent Tuesday around the Peaks the journey back home to Royston from Newmills was to say the least "enlightening". Talk about turning night into day..unbelieveable! I thought the motorways were bright until I got to the A roads and it felt like daylight. Just need to adjust them down slightly now. Cheers Les money well spent
