Jaegermeister

Underberg

This is a similar drink to the Jaegermeister but hasn't been so cleverly pitched at the international bright young things market. Underberg is classed a a liquer but is 84% proof. A good bit stonger than Jaegermeister. The 20 ml bottles (complete with homeless alkie paper wrapper) is a novel way to neck it.

I always bring a couple of fancy tins of Underberg bottles home with me from hols but Morrisons supermarkets now sell packs of 4 or 6.

Seems a shame to take up room when there's all that space in cupboards at Schloss Ronno :augie :ronno

Underberg.

Did they used to market that in a leather belt with individual 'bullet' loops (as in bandolier) containing a bottle in each loop?

I seem to remember seeing something like that hung up in a few pubs in the late 70's - early 80's. Oddly enough, the bandoliers always appeared to be full.....
