Can anyone tell me how to switch my Java applets on or stop them being blocked, I think

1) Have you got Java installed on your system? http://java.com and download the software via the button in the top right of the screen.

2) Otherwise, assuming you are using Internet Explorer, choose Tools --> Options and check both the Security and Advanced tabs for any settings that might disable Java.

3) Finally if you still have problems check that any firewall software you have installed is not stripping out the Java applets.

Mike

Thanks for the help Mike, have checked in Options it seems ok, applets enabled, have down loaded java, but still not getting part of the site due to the applets, this problem has only started since putting Norton 2004 on the pc, is there a way to stop Norton from doing this?

Don't have Norton 2004, but do have 2003 although I'm not near it right now. there is definitely an option in Norton (not sure if firewall or antivirus component or even both) that allows you to enable or disable applets on a page. You may find that you have the Security slider set to HIGH. You need to change it to MEDIUM or CUSTOM and then edit the options to allow applets.

I'll be near my PC at the weekend so let me know if you still have a problem

regards,

Mike
