Jesus Clip

Just a cautionary note - washed and polished the bike this and when polishing heard something scraping between the polishing rag and metal. Funny I thought, must have somehow got a bit of grit on the rag.

Shook the rag and what I call a Jesus clip fell to the ground. Even funnier I thought. It had obviously come from the bike and looked remarkably like a brake pad pin retaining clip. That's because it was.

When polishing round the rear caliper the rag must have snagged on the outer clip and pulled it out.

So, if you are a bit of a saddo like me and polish round your calipers, just beware.

Replace with s/steel split pins? Can't really afford for this to happen any time or you'll be meeting up with Jesus unexpectedly

The split pin can't have been split open enough if it gets pulled out as easily ad that.

It's an 'R' pin Windy Chuffer. Not a 'split' (cotter) pin.
