Joe Rocket Big Bang boots

Does anyone own, or have any reviews on Joe Rocket, big bang boots I need something for warmer weather that still offer some protection, they appear to have a thicker soul, do they offer any more reach to the ground for the shorter rider? Also what is the grip on the ground like?
