At the time of the above, despite giving me a verbal promise of a donation, Mr Dalziel asked me to send in an official request to him personally via email.
I did this the next day. I've subsequently sent him 2 further emails (none acknowledged or replied to). Surprisingly, every time I've phoned John Clarks and asked for AD, he's either been away from his desk, on a day off or with a customer. I must have phoned six or eight times, each time leaving my name. He hasn't returned my calls. Now, I've had this before with AD and (quell surprise) he took my call when I gave the receptionist a fictitious name
I really cannae be fecked dealing in any similar subterfuge to try and contact him this year.
I'm no' that desperate to get a donation from JC or Alan Dalziel but I wish to feck he'd been honest enough to tell me to feck off to my face. If AD hasn't been given the emails or phone messages, that's even more alarming from a firm of Clark's standing (er...assuming that they have any).
I hope that people whom Mr Dalziel is desperate to relieve of their hard earned have an easier time in contacting him. Somehow, I think that they will....
Edit: I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong on this but 3 weeks after a verbal promise with the knowledge that the event starts tomorrow, what d'ya think o' my chances?
