I heard yesterday that John Kirkham had died in a motorcycle accident last week. My wife had hours of observation by him a couple of years ago to pass her car IAM.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision near Thirsk.
At around 10am on Thursday 30 July 2015, a Triumph motorcycle collided with a white Volkswagen Sirocco at Scawton, around one mile from the top of Sutton Bank.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s from the Harrogate area, suffered serious injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was travelling in the company of two other motorcycles at the time the collision occurred.
