I collect my 2000 1150GS in yellow/silver tomorrow and being a normal high mileage rider I live out of my top box. I have a 52 litre Non Fango box that I'd like to fit to the GS but I haev a few questions.

1. Do I need to ahve the box overhang the back by 18" or can I remove the grab bar thingy?
2.Can I remove the pillion seat and fit the box over the tool kit.

3. How much fun am I allowed to have with this bike?

Thanks folks and any tips for useful accessories are gratefully accepted

Does living out of your top box exempt you from council tax??
Sorry,it`s the cider...:D

Fun??

Surely thats against the law??

And if it's not it soon will be:D :D

Been riding, racing, trialing and moto x ing for 30 years. Never had as much fun as in the last 7 months on the GS.

Make the most of it... when those in power realise we're having this much fun either the tax or the legislation will come rolling in.

1. No/yes
2. Yes

I've got a Givi 46 litre topbox and the grab handle is removed to allow fitting of the mounting plate.

I've seen a Blackbird with a mount that meant the topbox sat over the pillion seat instead of the usual way. I think that was a Givi product too.

Yip remove the grab handle thingy, I did :D
