Just considering buying my old RK back......

Update. Bob was getting no interest in the RK so called the BMW dealer we deal with and asked about trading the RK and his 2020 R1250GS on a used 2024 R1300GS with 400 miles. They would only $8,500 for the RK but he went ahead with the deal.
Used motorcycles now are either not selling or if they do they sell cheap, especially Harleys.

Were you not tempted to match the 8.5k offer Clifton?

I didn't find out until after he did it.
We pay 6% tax on the sale price but when trading only on the difference. I would have needed to offer $9,010 to make up the additional $510 in tax he would pay but I would have taken it for $9,010 in a minute. Then I would have to sell the Goldwing.

TBH, I got a bit bored with my Goldwing, hence going back to H-D. Don’t get me wrong, the Goldwing was an incredibly proficient machine but if it were a colour it would be beige.

Yeah I'm a little bored with mine too so I listed it for sale. No real interested party yet though. I won't go back to a big twin though, just too heavy and hot running.

I sold my Goldwing yesterday to a nice fellow, an ex Brit now living in Canada. Next to go is the little Trail 125.

My old Road King, that Bob traded, is finally on the dealer's website, he mistakenly calls it a Road Glide. They put the awful stock seat back on probably sold the other two seats. I was with Bob a couple years ago when he fell over on the right at an off camber incline T intersection which fortunately only scratched the bars and floor board. Asking $11K.
