While underneath the bike changing the FD output bearing which collapsed after 15yrs service, I noticed this plastic plug.
What is it for as there is liquid inside?

It's the drain plug for the airbox. Usually if anything comes out of it, it'll be oil blown through from the engine.
 
he removed that plug and the gearbox fell off. hes still trapped under it. RIP steve. he should have known better.

Get to f@u£, I am alive and kicking. There was no deluge on opening the plug, just a dozen drips.
Looked like phlegm from a heavy smoker.
