Just got a WR 400 Yamaha

Hi,

Just bought a WR 400 off fleebay for a very resonable amount and wondered who had experience of running such bikes and what to look out for.

The bike has just got 12 months mot on it and is bog standard

Any info would be great

Not the 400 but I run a WR250F. Absolutely brilliant tool. Very capable off roader but works hard on road. Some of my ex work colleagues used 400's and reckon they were better on road (for obvious reasons) and just as good off road.

Sounds like the right combination

i had one till just the other month. Tricked it up with some suspension upgrades, exhaust, the lot. It was alright but a bit slow.

Apparently what a 426 carb on it and it transforms it.
