What an awesome machine, speed and power is so impressive. Pretty comfortable too, but at 6'4" my legs and knees knew about it after 90 mins. The demo bike had the Remus can and the quick shift assist function, and it made the best noise ever shifting up through the gears. It sort of popped/banged as you shifted and just sounded glorious :thumb2
If I was 6" shorter I'd certainly consider this bike, but as I am I'm more than happy sticking with my GSA :D

Same height, test drove it too before getting my new GS. Had quick shift too - that is just wow! I didn't like the force on wrists, and handling, while doing what i seem to like best: GS roads. It's a great, fast, bike. But not for me - so on 3rd GS.

My last bike was a K1200S :D
Magnificent machine, and, unlike my GSA, not going to get dropped because I miss a tiny camber change whilst paddling about...:blast
However, in France in March, loaded to the gunwales, I saw 158 on the K bike. That kind of thing was only going to end one way...

I dunno from my F800GS to an R1200RT seemed like a bit of a weird upgrade.

I did giggle playing with the adjustable screen tho :bounce1

Is that all my old Blackbird has seen more:augie

When I came back from France in 2007 on my heavily loaded K1200S the maximum speed recorded on my Garmin 2610 was 178mph - similar to a Blackbird but with much better handling......pity about the reliability though :augie
