I look after several PC's and desktops for friends and families. I like IE 8 and Firefox. On my desktop I installed Windows 7 with IE 8 and had a problem with it hanging. I uninstalled IE 8 and installed IE 9.
It's very nice. All the clutter of IE 8 and especially Firefox is gone. Very simple screen layout which allows you to focus on the content. It seems faster too but I have never noticed a problem with speed of IE 8 or Firefox. I also like the fact I can put some favourites on the bottom taskbar.
Not tried Google Chrome but in general I don't like Google products because they come with bloatware you don't need and seem to take over your machine in areas you don't expect.
