Hi all,

I have just had to move up to the West Midlands (Harbourne / Selly Oak) with my job, leaving lovely Hampshire behind. Can anyone suggest some nice country routes to ride (GPS attachments would be great) as I feel the strangulation of a city and it's getting unbearable. Hope to meet up with some of you soon :thumb

Just head out west along the A456..you'll be free in no time....:D

..sorry, forgot to add...don't stop 'til you're well the other side of Kidderminster..ever...:P

Have a ride out to The Riverside Inn , Cound, Shropshire, tommorow (Tuesday)its a West Mids meet, ill be attending for the first time tommorow, i think it starts at about 7pm and the pub serves food.
From looking at previous threads its a regular meet so should be good and there are some good roads around that area.:thumb

**PANTS** sorry dude, only just got this. Well if its a regular thing i'll catch it next time. Thanks for the comments so far, keep them coming though...I ride alot;)

If you head north the Derbyshire/Peak district has some quite good roads. Matlock on a Sunday is a favouite biker haunt on the high st. Also the cat and fiddle up near the cheshire border. If you go south you have Stratford on Avon, apparently have a tarmac parking area specifically sized for bikes. Down and round the lanes in Warwickshire are stunning. If you hop over to Shropshire again some good roads and they lead you into Wales.

Happy riding and welcome to Brum....don't worry you will soon pick up the lingo....:clap

Morticia :beerjug:

There is a plus side to moving to this hell hole.... you can get a decent Balti:)
