Just Moved......Where to Ride???

Hi all,

I have just had to move up to the West Midlands (Harbourne / Selly Oak) with my job, leaving lovely Hampshire behind. Can anyone suggest some nice country routes to ride (GPS attachments would be great) as I feel the strangulation of a city and it's getting unbearable. Hope to meet up with some of you soon

Just head out west along the A456..you'll be free in no time....

Have a ride out to The Riverside Inn , Cound, Shropshire, tommorow (Tuesday)its a West Mids meet, ill be attending for the first time tommorow, i think it starts at about 7pm and the pub serves food.
From looking at previous threads its a regular meet so should be good and there are some good roads around that area.

If you head north the Derbyshire/Peak district has some quite good roads. Matlock on a Sunday is a favouite biker haunt on the high st. Also the cat and fiddle up near the cheshire border. If you go south you have Stratford on Avon, apparently have a tarmac parking area specifically sized for bikes. Down and round the lanes in Warwickshire are stunning. If you hop over to Shropshire again some good roads and they lead you into Wales.
