Love mine to,sat on my gsa for eleven hours yesterday from mulhouse in france to slawkow in poland.1200 kms,mid trip day of gettin from a to b,great great bike

Just gone past the 10,000 mile mark on mine, been to the Alps, Scotland, Wales and all over Northern England and it's never broken down (only blown one bulb) or needed to make a warranty claim, so oil consumption aside, it's the most reliable new bike I've owned....still haven't bonded with it though as I find it too slow two-up :(

Hi Sven - there are not many bikes that can perform 2 up like the 1200S! I have also just made the jump to the GS and am rapidly approaching the first service - enjoying it immensely but its a different ride altogether. The limitless power and smoothness was very beguiling but I am not missing the clunky gearbox! Persevere!:beerjug:

I'm still contemplating a £3k second bike to satisfy my need for speed e.g. GSX-R1000K3/4 or a 929 Fireblade as the GS does do most things really well :) BTW the K1300S I recently tested was much smoother than my K12S with a much better gearbox, but the riding position was too extreme after the GS to have one as my only bike

10 year old superbikes are awesome!

So much choice, and for so little money.

Y2K - 2002 Blade or ZX12R gets my vote, although a K1 GSXR is going to be a priceless classic one day - but that would put me off riding it
