any of you chaps know the best way to get dead insects off your leathers?

Too dried on for a rub with wet cloth as it advises in the `Care of your Leathers` instructions that came with them.

Get a warm, wet (not dripping wet) cloth and lay it over the affected area. This will soften and loosen the affected attachments. After a couple of hours, you should be able to easily wipe them off. Same thing works on bugs on windscreens.

Leave 'em there. It lets the female know that you are.....how you say....... "available".

thankyou girls

Mike, will try the product if I can find it.

Tobers, I`ll give it a try.

Vern and Bilks, you Tossers, the leathers in question are my multi coloured romper suit, never seen rain only used on the rice rocket (I cant control it in the dry let alone the wet & cold). Some of them bugs are from summer 2002 you know.

`loud,

I never have that problem with flies. The way I ride, I don't kill them, I just give them a lift some where else. As soon as I stop, they all fly off again:D

nice one

I`m sure you must have invented some sort of fly catching device that safely collects said insects and deposits them in a holding container ready for depositing at your destination:D

Those nice Autoglym people do a leather cleaner which is ...according to the stuff on the bottle for car seats and suitable for motorcycle leathers too. I've always used that with no problems at all, you sometimes have to let the larger bugs soak a bit first! IMHO the Renapur stuff takes the bugs off ok, but left my leathers in a slightly sticky state and made them filthy quicker.

Flex the plastic time, then.

truly

OUTSTANDING!! :clap

But I have now found the cheapest and simplest solution, baby wipes, not your cheap Sommerfields own brand but Pampers with moisturiser, cleans them up a treat and leaves nice and supple!
