I have no connection, I just really enjoy these things.

Just beware of some of the 'bargains'.

I bought a 5l jug of auto glym shampoo a coue of years ago down there and when I went to use it a couple of months ago, found something like fairy liquid in it. Can't remember the stand, so just have to use it to jetwash the patio.

That's good advice re the shampoo, but I was always less likely to be snared by that, than by 70s 80s and 90s Jap trail bikes, my penchant!

But, holy cow, what has happened to prices? Once upon a time, an autojumble was somewhere where the bikes may not be the prettiest, but they topped out at a few hundred quid.

Today - XL250s - £2200 ("all absolutely original sir" - what, including that aftermarket exhaust??), XL185 at £1100 (better) and an MT5 at £1500 (yes slopeds may be popular and nostalgic if you owned one back then, but it's still a 50 that won't pull 30mph on the flat..).

However, there was (and always is) a great deal that was of interest in the car park:
