Kenwood KPG-87D Programming Software

Hello folks, I have a Kenwood TK-3202 transceiver and want to programme it to the PMR446 frequencies. To do this I need a copy of the Kenwood KPG-87D programming software.

Being tight, I was hoping that that one of our brethren may have a copy that they would be prepared to part with for beer :beerjug:

And yes fellow tossers… I am aware that this is not strictly speaking legal given that the radio can transmit at 1W/4W and not the 0.5W dictated by PMR446 :gringo

I'm pretty sure that I have a copy of this software at home. However:
  • It's DOS-based
  • There are no instructions
  • You need the special Kenwood programming lead

Either PM me with your e-mail address (or post it here in coded format) and I'll e-mail it tonight.

Greg

Hello all, I managed to find a copy of KPG-87D V1.0 for Windows software on an obscure site in China! If you would like the link drop me a PM.

Greg, thanks again for your very prompt reply.

D'oh! I forgot to send it - but it sounds like you got it from the same place as I originally did.

KPG-87D Software

For the TK-3202E European Version of the TK-3202 you will need KPG-87DM2 version of the software. This is not currently 'freely' available on the net and has to be purchased from Kenwood (well as it should be) at mega bucks!

If you have anything other than the E version, then a copy of version 1.0, 1.1 or 2.3 of the software should do it. Only the DM2 version works with the European version of the radio.
