UK again Pah!..
There I was happily looking for PMR's on here, eBlag etc and trying to decide which way to go and I come home tonight to find a pair of 3207's sitting on the table (Thank you wife!)

Great, two radios, no idea of frequency or what some of the buttons do so I have ordered a programming lead, found a copy of KPG-87D v1 to make the changes but am still a bit confused.

I have sussed the channel and volume and the push to talk and even how to remove the battery, they test OK over around 100 metres (I am loath to do further tests as I am not sure what frequency they are set to)

Can anyone tell me what the two buttons on the side below the PTT do and even better point me in the direction of a manual and a heads up on the finer points of using the KPG-87D software?

Cheers

Hey. Yeah, the two sidebar buttons are multi functional, and user programmable, they are also used in conjunction with the PTT button for radio programming.

IE: press & hold sidebar 1 & ptt, then turn on radio, it will announce the mode it's now in.. (will return to default in 5 secs if no adjustments are made)
(inbuilt vox is sidebar 1, & turn radio on)

Si

Thanks for the reply, I managed to find a manual on line so I think I have that bit sussed now, any ideas how to check the power output and reduce it if necesary? I do not need the full 5 watts as we are purely line of sight stuff across a flat grassed area at a maximum of 1500m
