Here is a brand new, never worn (just tried on) pair of riding jeans in size 38 waist, just found them during a mass cupboard adventure. I have 32 inside leg they are a tad too long, measured this at 33.5 cm.
The photos show the yellow kevlar lining and pockets for armour to hips and knees.
Knee armour included when I bought them but hip armour was not.
If it helps the pocket for hip armour measures 13cm wide by 20-23cm deep.
Tempted to keep them as workshop jeans for additonal protection, have too many pairs of trousers so may as well let them go.
