Well, since no one else seems to be reporting on this, your "action man at the scene" will do so.
Some of the pics are beetees, some are mine.

Met at Corsican Dave,s Ice Climbing place for a snack, £5 and a half quid for a venison burger......... without chips. Dave, thats ridiculous. Never thought I was into bondage, but these young ladies with their webbing harnesses can be quite alluring.
However, Flew, literally, to the corran ferry for a trip across to the Ardnamurchan peninsula.

Then hurled down to Strontian, I think.......... I was just hanging on, Awsome views from the top of this mountain? we were crossing of the loch below. I thought that these were the gravel tracks Dave was referring to and me and Brian were ok on road tyres until..................... we came to the gravel track Dave was referring to.
Guess who got stuck first........... No it wasnt me.....it was him.....
(with the knobblies)
How we laughed, we never really, but it reads good.

Unfortunately........... Grizzly George was right behind and collected a " dod " or two of mud. Nothing to do wi me gov.

Anyhoo, up a gravelly, pot holed, slidy track which went on for about 20 miles, felt like 50 right up the side of loch shiel.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery, Harry potter bridge at the top, perfect weather and no midges. What is better than this.
Stopped several times to regroup and take photies.

Unfortunately I've not got any photos, but it was a great run out - I think Den means flew after the Corran ferry - that road to Strontian is brilliant.

From there to Scotstown, and as Den's GPS said, on to "North of Polloch" via a stunning view of Loch Doilet. The road from Polloch to Glenfinnan via Scamodale makes even Bear Scotland roads look well finished.

A decent cup of coffee at Glenfinnan followed by a run along the Laggan road made up the rest of the run - just over 300 miles in the day, and one of the best runs I have been on.

Looking forward to more of the same in the future - pass me that Touratech catalogue.

Obviously Den got more of his pictures on as I was typing this - as you can see a picture helps - I'd have taken some if I hadn't been hanging on and praying that I made it to the end of the track.

Ian, the top road out of kinlochleven was barely touched by tyre!!!
Here is another pic

And at the end, we all had tea and scones at the wee cafe at the Glenfinnan monument at the head of the loch,...............................
Well, we ARE the well ard gang as andy cam has christened us.

Unfortunately the heavens opened just past Glencoe and it pissed doon for the 150 miles back home.

Nevertheless......... a wonderful day, Thanks to Corsican Dave for the planning.

AND BY THE WAY...... BROTHER BRIAN ( BEETEE ) DID THE WHOLE GRAVELLY THING ON A K1200RS. It must run in the family

TOOT- TOOT

Well 'Ard on tour

Hiyah one and all,
Thanks for turning up and making it a crackin' day. BIG thanks to Corsican for the off roading, my legs still ache from 22 miles on the pegs.
This is of course the indefatigable Corsican Dave

Does anyone think that the two cars at the end of the track were parked there to stop us getting out ?

Great pics Den et al. Sums up beautifully what the GS is all about. Much respect to BeeTee on the RS by the way!

Anyone have a GPS track/route ? :bounce1
