Can you help?
I am in process of discussing purchase of a bike and it seems to be a group of companies dealing in bikes all with names similar to above based in and around wigan KJMT, Wigan Yamamha Centre etc etc

problem is not knowing the area (eg do the exist on the ground:augie)or the people some reassurance that they are Ok to deal with would be really helpful

thanks
russ

Yep they are all genuine dealers although somebody much more local will be along soon to give you some actual experience of buying from them. I've only once visited Wigan Yamaha Centre.

You could PM HowMuch ( Dave) or his brother Bobalob ( Bob ) I would bet money that they have both bought bikes from 'em.

I think KJM are an importer and actually supply many dealers in the North West with stock.:thumb

thanks for the info tarry and rushy....the deal is for a uk buke not an import, think this may be why kjm are saying they are getting the bike from "another company within their group", I guess this will the wigann yamaha centre..
will pm as suggested
cheers

From what I've heard (I know 2 people who work for the company) KJM superbike is part of a group called something akin to MOTO GB. This group owns a number of bike shops in the northwest including Millenium Motorcycles at St Helens, Orrell motorcycle centre near wigan, Wigan Yamaha centre, Chorley yamaha, and slingers suzuki in Preston. I believe that a chap called Keith mason is at the helm and I can vaguely remember him when he started trading from his home about 30 years ago.

and Slingers Suzuki in Preston. I believe that a chap called Keith mason is at the helm and I can vaguely remember him when he started trading from his home about 30 years ago.

I work with a guy called Pete Slinger. he's from Preston and used to race bikes I think. I'll have to ask him tomorrow if Slingers Suzuki is his family business

kjm is a group now.
slingers preston is now part of that group.
used to be a great local bike shop, run by pete slinger.
nice helpful biker owner.
slingers suzuki use dto have a bmw for sale now and again.
tin 2002 they had an r80g/s pd for about £1600.
i decided i didnt like it:confused: so my mate bought it.

I have bought several bikes from KJM over the years.
All have been UK models .
No problems what so ever, always pleasant to deal with and happy with the transactions..
They always seem to have a vast selection of what ever bike ya want.
I think they have a central warehouse somewhere that supplies all there outlets.

hi lads thanks for all the replies, fantastic, just what the tosser are reknowned for....:thumb2

puts the conversations I have had with KJM into the proper context...

pricing was good but maanged to avoid problem of collection and delivery down to me here in frozen south wales by getting local yammy dealer to match price......

thanks for all your help

Yep it is the same Pete. He said his folks retired on the proceeds after they sold it to KJM. I asked if he's going to ride again and said he'd like a big trailie similar to mine :comfort
